Up through the atmosphere...

Up where the air is clear, oh, lets go fly a kite. So yes it is a little odd when you tell people you fly kites for a hobby. However, this is no ordinary kite. This is a kite that spans over 9 ft and can pull you, once you learn to fly it that is. We have had so much fun taking the kite out and discovering new tricks and how to make it pull best. So far, we have been pulled in the sled across the grass and currently the wagon is the best thing we have. Cody's job is to build us a buggy that is steerable. Crashing is inevitable in the wagon due to its lack of steering. Flying this thing is a workout times ten trying to hold on to it and not be pulled when standing still. We have had some bangs, bruises and scratches but it is all in the name of fun.

I was the first to "power kite" in the sled. I was pulled up out of the sled and flipped over and dragged across the ground before getting it back under control. For those of you doubting the fun in this, do not knock it until you try it. Baylee enjoys flying it, obviously with the help of Cody. I can't help her because it drags me if I sit down and hit the power spot which is going to happen. It has proved to be the source of many laughs and a lot of family time. Tanner enjoys watching the weird flying object as well.
