We decided to take the girls camping for a night. We just went to a state park about 20 minutes from the house. They were both very happy to try a new adventure. I don't know what it was about the tent but it turned the two ladies crazy. They were wild and ecstatic every time they got to go in it.
We did some fishing after setting up camp. Both girls caught fish all by themselves and were rightfully proud. We had the girls roast their own hot dogs for dinner and followed that later in the night with roasted marshmallows. (prego lady forgot the graham crackers on the counter so no smores for us) Lilli's favorite part was roasting(eating) the marshmallows no doubt. Baylee said she just liked it all.
The big fiasco: our ladies thought it would be a great idea while I was getting dinner ready to go pick some random leaves and rub them on themselves....(WHO DOES THAT?) I went ballistic when I saw them but thought of all the things they could pick whats the likeliness of it actually being poison. LIKELINESS=100% apparently. We couldn't tell because the leaves were so mangled. It showed up about 48 hours later on Baylee, Lilli's took about 8 hours longer but wasn't as bad. The funny part of the whole thing...apparently young children have a fascination with rubbing their butts while naked. It would've still been able to be spread when I was getting them dressed the next morning. They took turns getting dressed and each one did the same thing with rubbing their behinds while standing there, we were cracking up at that point and then turns out their butts were the worst part on both of them which essentially, just made the whole butt rubbing even more entertaining.
So we overloaded on baking soda. They played in the pool for 3 hours with (I go extreme) 2 lbs of baking soda in it and took baths with baking soda in the water as well as being smothered aloe vera 2 times. Getting rid of the spots by picture time in 4 days seemed like a crazy notion, but it worked. Leave it to the baking soda!
Overall it was a very memorable weekend. We had a good time and the girls both absolutely loved it.
