Boo at the Zoo

Week 2 of being at home
We mostly listened and stayed home with Tanner for the second week. Cody was off still so at least we had company while being at the house. It got old fast but I know it was best for lil T. It was getting chilly but we went outside and played a lot. Baylee still ADORES the swingset.
Unfortunately at the beginning of the 2nd week, Baylee developed ear infections, so we were up A LOT in the night. I was up every hour with her and feeding Tanner in between. While I felt very sad for her and her ears and swollen oozing eye, I felt very sad for me and my lack of sleep while transitioning into a milk factory as well. Two nights of that and I was plum worn out. Thankfully her antibiotics kicked in after that.
The last day that Cody was home, we decided to go to the zoo....I obviously misinterpreted the season dates and they were only open at night for boo at the zoo. Thankfully they have an awesome playground at the zoo that was still open and we spent 3 hours playing instead. We did get to watch them walk and play with the wolves. I personally would have a problem with a wolf nudging my face. I do not have a death wish and was in amazement at the fact that they treated them like dogs. I think they forgot to tell them that wolves eat people. It was most intriguing. And we got to see a peacock so Baylee was happy. A few animals and a swing, she was ok in the end. We all had a blast. Tanner loved being outside and stayed awake most of the outing.

Grammy & Grandpa Visit
On a side note...we celebrated my birthday that week as well. Unfortunately(or fortunately) for my blog readers, I got a fancy new camera and bombardment of pictures is a guarantee. While I am still learning all of its functions, it's nice to have one that works every time I turn it on.

Our new addition
He weighed in at 8 lbs 2 oz which was smaller than the docs had expected and was 21 inches long. (We later found out the hospital here measures to the tip of his toe rather than flat footed so he was not really that long and appeared to have shrunken for his first doc visit) We are so very glad to have Lil T here and he definitely has a tight grip on our heartstrings. While Baylee is thankful he's not in my belly and I can pick her up again, she's not sure about his time requirements. But she is coping well for her mere 3 years and loves to help out in anyway she can unless it involves a poopy diaper....I don't blame her, if only I had a choice too!

September 2010
September was pretty busy for us. Cody was still harvesting pretty much all day everyday. We did get one day to go fishing with him...only because it rained a good bit the day before. I finished getting ready for baby Tanner's arrival. Baylee was a big help in all of the preparations. I had the big fundraiser for MOPS and we also started back for our normal year. I am also helping with Teen MOPS and that was added into the schedule as well.
We got a swingset for the yard...it was an adventure to put together. However it did only take us 6 hours and it said it would take 12. Pretty good considering Cody's helpers were a 3 year old and a 9 month prego lady! It was a great purchase on my part...patting myself on the back, Baylee LOVES it.
August 2010
August was filled with lots of our normal day to day activities, which sometimes is the way we like it.
One night we went out and caught bugs with Baylee for quite a while. She loved it and had a blast running around and chasing Odin of course.
We flew her kite, which was quite entertaining because that can wear you out apparently. We went fishing and she helped me cook quite a bit. We also did a few dinners with friends and enjoyed hanging out. Most of our spare time was spent riding in the combine with Cody for hours at a time while harvesting corn. It was pretty uneventful for the most part.
